Tourist Trap 8.5/10 - A group of teens’ car breaks down on the side of the road and when they go walking for help, they stumble upon a creepy old mannequin museum.
I watched this for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was creepy and scary, but also well made. There were a few things I didn’t see coming, which is always nice.
I think this movie was fairly bereft of gore, which I didn’t really notice until after it was over; no big loss when the movie is well made.
Chuck Connors was particularly fucking fantastic in this. It’s pretty rare to be really impressed by an actor’s role in a horror movie (at least for me).
The only couple of gripes I have with this are that it feels like it’s dragging just a little bit during a couple of parts, and the whole telekinesis thing didn’t seem to fit with the realistic feel of the movie.
It’s the best horror movie I’ve seen (probably) since “Popcorn”. See it!
